New MyLearning Page: Certificates, OJT, and Session Withdrawal

The MyLearning page for single architecture customers gains transcript-equivalent capabilities in the July 26 release. Learners can now view and download training certificates, run on-the-job training (OJT) observer workflows, and withdraw from sessions directly from the page. Performance optimizations keep learner progress accurate and intact in a single real-time view.

What's New

  • View and download training certificates from the Completed tab
  • Notify observers for on-the-job training (OJT) directly from MyLearning
  • Withdraw from instructor-led sessions with a reason flyout
  • Real-time, unified view of all learning types and progress
  • Performance optimizations that preserve learner progress and records

Details

Description

The new MyLearning page is the single architecture equivalent of the legacy transcript page, unifying Cornerstone's LMS with Cornerstone AI into one personalized, real-time learning hub. It is the single destination where employees access all training types, including assigned, compliance, curated pathways, journeys, and user-generated content, through a consistent interface.

This release brings the page closer to parity with the old transcript page by adding three learner capabilities: viewing and downloading certificates from the Completed tab of the Learning Library, running the OJT observer workflow via a new Notify Observer action, and withdrawing from sessions through a new Withdraw action that captures a withdrawal reason. Performance optimizations keep learner progress and information intact for a smoother experience.

Business Need

Learners today face a fragmented experience where learning is scattered across pages and progress is often outdated or unclear, leading to confusion and compliance risk. Without certificate access, OJT notification, and self-service session withdrawal in one place, learners cannot easily see what is required, what is in progress, and what they can explore.

By unifying all learning types into a real-time MyLearning view with accurate, up-to-date status, this enhancement gives learners clarity on priorities and confidence in their records. Admins and managers gain accurate real-time visibility into progress, reducing manual effort, support follow-ups, and compliance anxiety while enabling more focused coaching.

Key Features

  • Learners can view and download training certificates directly from MyLearning using the new View Certificate action in the Actions column of the Completed tab, which opens the loaded certificate in a new window as proof of completion.
  • The on-the-job training workflow is supported for material OJT training types, with a new Notify Observer action that opens a flyout to select one or multiple observers and changes the status to Pending Observation Completion.
  • Learners can withdraw from instructor-led sessions through the new Withdraw action, which opens a flyout for a withdrawal reason and changes session status to Withdrawn upon submission, after which learners may re-register.
  • All learning types appear in a single real-time view so learners clearly understand what is required, in progress, and available to explore.
  • Performance optimizations preserve learner progress and information to deliver a smoother, more reliable experience.

Deployment & Considerations

These enhancements are available to single architecture customers, beginning at the start of UAT and reaching production on the communicated release date. The capabilities are on by default when the single architecture security object is enabled in your portal. No new permissions are introduced; existing permissions such as create content, create smart content cards, create pathway, and create journeys continue to apply.

Several functions are not yet supported and are planned for subsequent releases, including pricing and e-commerce workflows, learner move-to-transcript and archived transcript actions, admin and manager actions (edit, view, remove), add external training, offline and download transcript, print, run report, integrations, and privacy settings for smart cards, pathways, and journeys. SCORM, project, live event, and live stream smart card types are deprecated in the new single architecture, and the page is not available to federal GovCloud or extended enterprise customers in this release. The page is fully mobile responsive and available on the mobile app, but is not yet configurable; existing customers receive it only after migration to single architecture.
