Audience Support for Themes and Branding

Audiences can now be configured to view only the branding selected by the administrator, ensuring the correct theme is consistently applied to the right groups across the platform. This capability is available to customers using single architecture.

Description
This release introduces audience selection within the Theme and Branding settings, enabling administrators to define exactly which themes and branding are displayed to which audiences and organizational units (OUs). From Theme and Branding in system settings, an administrator selects a theme, chooses the audience option, and a flyout opens to pick the target OU. Up to three OUs can be assigned to a theme at any time, and when multiple OUs are selected, an AND operator determines which users satisfy the criteria.
For end users, this reduces the chance of viewing an incorrect theme or branding for their OU, delivering a more consistent and accurate experience across the platform. This capability is available to customers using single architecture.
Business Need
Without audience-level control, administrators could not reliably coordinate which theme appeared for which OU, increasing the risk that users would see branding that did not match their group. This created inconsistency in how the organization presented itself across different units.
By adding audience selection to Theme and Branding, administrators can consistently apply the correct themes and branding to the right groups, improving organizational consistency and giving end users fewer opportunities to encounter the wrong theme.
Key Features
- Administrators can configure themes and branding to specific audiences and OUs directly from the Theme tab.
- Up to three OUs can be assigned to any single theme, with an AND operator applied when multiple OUs are selected.
- When a user belongs to multiple OUs restricted to different themes, the theme shown is determined by the priority order of the list in Theme and Branding Administration.
- OUs are surfaced for selection based on the Branding and Theme Manage permission.
Deployment & Considerations
This enhancement will be available soon, beginning with the start of UAT and in production portals as part of the production release. It is on by default and requires no activation, though no configuration changes are made by default. The feature is available only to customers using single architecture.
No new permissions are introduced; OU selection relies on the existing Branding and Theme Manage permission. If a user is assigned to multiple OUs restricted to different themes, theme display follows the priority order defined in Theme and Branding Administration.
