Training Title List Tag for Training Model Notifications
Training model assignment email notifications can now include a new training.title.list tag that displays the full, distinct list of trainings assigned by a training model. Previously these notifications lacked training details, leaving users and managers without visibility into what was actually assigned. The tag must be manually added to the existing notification by an administrator.
What's New
- New training.title.list tag for training model assignment notifications
- Distinct, comma-separated list of all trainings in the training model
- Single instance shown for trainings repeated across sequential model sequences
- Improved transparency for end users, managers, and the organization
Details
Description
This release enhances the existing Assigned Training by Training Model email notification with a new training.title.list tag. When this tag is added to the notification, every email triggered by a training model assignment will include the complete, distinct list of trainings associated with that model, presented as a comma-separated list.
The tag always populates the full set of relevant training titles each time an assignment email is sent. It does not show only what changed since the last notification — every email contains the complete list of trainings tied to the training model. For sequential training models where the same training appears in both initial and renewal sequences, the email displays only a single instance of that training title.
Business Need
Prior to this release, the notification triggered when a training model was assigned contained no training details — no titles and no list of the trainings involved. Customers reported that this gap left end users and managers unable to see exactly what was being assigned, and managers in particular were informed of assignments without knowing their contents.
By surfacing the full list of assigned trainings directly in the email, this enhancement gives users and managers immediate, clear understanding of all assignments. It reduces follow-up questions, improves communication clarity across the organization, and supports stronger training completion and compliance outcomes by making assigned content visible up front.
Key Features
- A new training.title.list tag is available for the training model assignment notification, surfacing training details that were previously missing.
- The tag populates a distinct, comma-separated list of all trainings included in the training model.
- For sequential training models, a training that appears in both the initial and renewal sequences is listed only once.
- End users, managers, and the wider organization gain better transparency into assigned trainings, with fewer follow-ups and clearer communication.
Deployment & Considerations
This enhancement will be available on UAT and Production on the defined release dates. The training model must be activated and the notification must be configured in the email by the administrator. No additional permissions are required; existing notification preferences apply.
The recommended admin action is to update the existing Assigned Training by Training Model notification to include the new training.title.list tag — without this, the list will not appear. Note the existing notification behavior: the email is triggered when the training model is published and the first training is assigned, with a 24-hour freeze window for assignment changes. If a training is added within the 24-hour window for the same training model, no new email is triggered; if it is added after the 24-hour freeze period, the email retriggers with the updated list.
