Assignment Monitoring: Real-Time Visibility for Learning Assignments

This release introduces real-time monitoring capabilities to the Learning Assignment Tool in Cornerstone OnDemand. Administrators gain live visibility into the status and progress of training assignments directly within the Learning Assignment area, where monitoring options appear once the feature is enabled.

For individual assignments, a dedicated Monitoring tab provides plain-language status of eligible assignments, progress details such as completion percentages and user counts, and processing metrics. When an assignment fails, administrators receive failure insights, can trigger self-service reprocessing, and can download failure reports for follow-up. Refresh controls keep the displayed data current.

Business Need

Administrators have historically lacked real-time insight into how learning assignments are processing, forcing them to rely on delayed progress reporting and time-consuming manual troubleshooting. This created operational bottlenecks when assignments stalled or failed without clear visibility into the cause.

By surfacing live assignment status, progress, and failure insights in one place, this enhancement reduces delays, minimizes manual investigation, and enables faster, proactive resolution of issues.
