This release delivers Phase 2 of the Course Assistant (Closed Beta), an AI-assisted learning aid embedded in eligible Learning Objects. Learners can now chat in their preferred language, with support expanded to six languages: English (three variants), French (two variants), German, Spanish, Traditional Chinese, and Hebrew. Cross-language interaction is supported, so a learner can chat in Spanish even when the underlying content is in English.
The release also introduces Practice with Questions, an informal quiz tied to the specific content. Learners select an answer and immediately see whether it is correct or incorrect, along with an explanation. Each quiz contains five questions, and on submission learners receive an overall summary showing how many they answered correctly. This is positioned as a learning aid rather than a formal test.
Business Need
Language friction slows comprehension and limits the value of learning content for multilingual workforces. By letting learners ask questions in their own language — even when content is authored in a different one — organizations reduce barriers to understanding and make existing content more usable across regions.
The Practice with Questions feature addresses the need for a quick comprehension check immediately after learning. Rather than requiring a separate formal assessment, it gives learners low-stakes, instant feedback that reinforces understanding and helps content land more effectively.

Deployment & Considerations
These enhancements are part of the Course Assistant Closed Beta and are targeted for the April announcement. As a beta capability, access is opt-in and the supported language list is expected to continue expanding over time.
To enable the feature, administrators must open a Course Assistant–eligible Learning Object in Content Manager, confirm the content is uploaded and ready for AI-assisted features, turn on the Allow AI-assisted features for this content toggle, and save their changes. Learners then access the capability through the Course Assistant button, where a globe icon displays the supported languages. Note that Practice with Questions is an informal learning aid, not a formal assessment, and quizzes are currently limited to five questions per content item.
